A raised tee position on Hole 17 means that you can see all of the trouble that awaits any errant shot. A ditch crosses the fairway just in front of two large grass mounds, which make the judging of distance very tricky. The green is protected by a bunker of both sides, together with a steep drop off to the rear.
This is probably the most difficult green on the course to read, with many subtle slopes and borrows. A 3 on this hole is always a good score
